I mare is pregnant for four seasons. Breeding may only occur in Spring and Summer, so this is also the time when a foal may be born.
Keep in mind that a mare is allowed to foal up to six days early, but no more.
Each season is two weeks long, so in our time a mare would be pregnant for about eight weeks.
